British Buses
Vintage colour photos of British buses and coaches from the 1950s to the 1990s, documenting an essential part of everyday transport and travel across post-war Britain. Taken on colour film, these images capture buses and coaches operating in towns, cities, seaside resorts, and rural areas during a period of major change in public transport.
This collection includes views of double-deck and single-deck buses, long-distance coaches, depots, stations, streetscapes, passengers, and surrounding urban and rural settings. From municipal bus fleets to private coach operators, the photographs preserve a detailed visual record of vehicle design, liveries, routes, and daily operation before deregulation, privatisation, and later modernisation reshaped Britain’s bus and coach networks.
All images are available as high-resolution, royalty-free digital downloads suitable for editorial, commercial, or personal use.
