This authentic 1960s colour photograph features a Rickards Tours coach, registration VYT 628, as it pauses on Woburn Place in 1960. The image showcases the vehicle’s gleaming polished chrome and distinctive burgundy Duple Vega bodywork. Built on a Bedford SB3 chassis and delivered new in 1959, this C41F-configured coach was a prominent part of the Rickards fleet based in Brentford, Middlesex. A second identical coach is visible just behind it, while a green vintage car and the multi-storey buildings of Bloomsbury line the street. The coach also displays a sign indicating it is “On Hire to Universal S. T.” This archival print provides an exceptional record of mid-century British coach travel and commercial transport history, making it a perfect resource for enthusiasts or to print for yourself as a piece of nostalgic wall art.
