Ivory House is a former warehouse built in 1852–58, located in St Katharine Docks, a redeveloped marina area by the Thames, just east of the Tower of London. It was originally designed by engineer Sir Thomas Telford for luxury imports like ivory, silk, feathers, wine, and perfume—receiving up to 200 tons of ivory annually in its mid‑1800s heyday. It’s now the only original warehouse that remains in St Katharine Docks, with others destroyed in WWII. It retained its character when restored and converted into residences in the 1970s
