Standing on the north side of Golden Square in Soho,  Nos. 32–38 is a distinctive presence in one of central London’s most historic squares. Designed by architect Leonard Stokes and completed in 1913–14, the building is an elegant example of neo-classical commercial architecture, with a Portland stone façade, arcaded windows, and a striking stair tower.

In the 1960s, the building was taken over by the Granada Group Ltd, serving as their London offices and a base for their television operations — though not a full production studio. Granada later expanded the premises internally, adding two more floors behind the original frontage. The rear of the building faced down onto Carnaby Street and the Granada name can be seen in many old Carnaby Street photos from the past. The company remained in residence until 1996.
