A red Mini parked beside the waterfall in Glencoe in 1970, with the car pulled up at the roadside viewing point while spray rises from the falls below. The scene appears to show the well-known Glencoe waterfall on the Allt Lairig Eilde, beside the A82 near the Meeting of Three Waters, where the burn drops sharply through dark rock at the foot of the hills. The Mini, carrying registration GEN 727G, and the parked van behind it give the view an unmistakably everyday touring feel, contrasting nicely with the force of the water and the bare Highland slopes around it. The falls are now one of the best-known roadside stops in Glen Coe, and this photograph shows them long before modern visitor infrastructure made the spot more familiar to travellers.
