The distinctive red dome belongs to the Travelers Insurance Pavilion, one of the fair’s more architecturally recognizable structures. Its bold color and sweeping curved roof made it a prominent landmark along the fairgrounds. Inside, visitors found a series of exhibits exploring safety, risk, and the ways insurance influenced everyday life—from automobile travel and home ownership to business operations and medical care.
The pavilion featured interactive demonstrations rather than static displays, including simulated accident scenarios, safety innovations, and forward-looking concepts about how changing technology would shape society. A film presentation highlighted the company’s history and its vision for a more secure future.
Though not as flashy as some of the fair’s automotive or entertainment attractions, the Travelers Pavilion was remembered for its modern design, clear messaging, and that unmistakable red dome—a feature that made it easy to spot from across the fairgrounds.
