Pedestrians move slowly along the lane, giving the scene a quiet, almost village-like atmosphere that contrasts with the busier streets nearby. Much of Quonians Lane survives today with its character intact, making this a strong record of Lichfield’s smaller historic streets and specialist trades in the late 1950s.
