This authentic 1950s colour photograph captures “The White Horse of Hanover,” one of the ten heraldic sculptures commissioned for the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. Sculpted by James Woodford, this six-foot-tall plaster figure represents the Queen’s descent from the House of Hanover and King George I.
