This 1965 view at Pontins Dolphin Holiday Camp, Brixham, looks across part of the hillside site towards rows of compact chalet blocks, a hard-surface tennis court and the sea beyond. In the foreground are rose beds and terraced paths beside one of the camp buildings, while scattered holidaymakers and children can be seen around the lawns and walkways between the chalets. The setting feels noticeably greener and more open than many of the larger purpose-built camps, with the accommodation tucked into a sloping landscaped site overlooking the South Devon coast. It is a good general view of the camp’s quieter daytime side, showing the mix of self-contained chalet accommodation, outdoor recreation and sea views that helped define the holiday experience here in the 1960s.
