The image highlights Piccadilly Mansions, where the ground floor features the Eros News Theatre with a prominent sign for “All Cartoon Comedy Week,” located next to Saqui & Lawrence jewellers. By the 1950s, this 200-seat theatre was well-known for showing cartoons but had also gained an infamous reputation for rent boys; it would later become a soft porn theatre in the 1970s before closing in 1985 for the expansion of H Samuel.
