Photo taken from Southwark Bridge looking east. The Windmill pub (now demolished) was at 52 Park Street. It thrived on dock workers. At weekends it was virtually deserted. When the dockers went, so did the pub. Park Street still exists but Horseshoe Alley is gone. The railway line at the end of Park Street leading to Cannon Street station is still there.
