Spirella House stands prominently at the southeast corner of Oxford Circus in London’s West End. This Grade II listed building, originally known as Paris House, was constructed between 1912 and 1920 as part of the grand development of Oxford Circus. Designed by architect Sir Henry Tanner, it reflects the architectural ambitions of the early 20th century.

In 1916, the Spirella Company of Great Britain, renowned for its made-to-measure corsets, established its flagship showroom here. The company was known for its innovative approach, employing ‘corsetiers’ who visited clients’ homes to provide personalized fittings—a practice that was both progressive and discreet for its time .
