New Zealand House was completed in 1963, it is considered a distinguished example of 1960s office architecture and an important landmark in London. The building is a Modernist design, notable for being an early example of a tower resting on a broad, low podium. Its structure is a reinforced concrete frame, clad in Portland stone, with the ground floor featuring black Belgian marble recessed behind stainless-steel-clad pilotis.
