Based on a 1966 Comet Cyclone, the Escapade was a styling exercise by the Lincoln-Mercury division of Ford Motor Company, designed to test consumer reaction to a more aggressive, European-inspired sports roadster. A promotional model in a vibrant floral-patterned dress stands beside the vehicle at the New York Coliseum, while a primrose yellow Aston Martin DBS is visible in the background, along with various automotive posters on the wall.
