To the left, the ornate Victorian architecture of the “Pitt & Scott” travel and shipping office stands prominently, while the curved modernist facade of a newer office block rises on the right. The street is lined with classic shops like “Finlays,” and the distance reveals the railway bridge crossing Ludgate Hill, a landmark that has since been removed.
