A 1970s color photo of Logan International Airport in Boston during 1972, taken from the latter half of the 20th century. Today, the view from Logan Airport toward downtown Boston is dominated by a much denser skyline, featuring modern skyscrapers that have risen since the early 70s. The airfield itself has been completely paved and modernized to support the high volume of international and domestic flights. The construction seen in this 1971 scene was part of the ongoing expansion that turned Logan into one of the most prominent hubs on the U.S. East Coast.
