The curved brick building ahead carries the painted lettering Broad Street Chambers, housing professional offices above street level, with City Clothing Hire occupying part of the ground floor frontage.
Pedestrians cross the road in summer clothing and a cyclist rides through the junction, adding to the everyday rhythm of a provincial market town in the late 1950s. Several of the buildings visible here have since been altered or repurposed, reflecting the gradual changes to King’s Lynn’s historic street layout and commercial life over the decades.
