Holimarine Holiday Centre at Hopton in 1979, showing part of the rebuilt chalet accommodation arranged around a broad grassed area with curving internal roads and simple bench seating. The low brick-and-panel units have large picture windows and flat roofs, reflecting the more modern appearance introduced after Holimarine took over the former Constitutional camp and redeveloped the site in the 1970s. Parked outside are several period cars, including a Chrysler Alpine and a Ford Escort, while holidaymakers can be seen walking between the units on what looks like a warm summer day. It is a useful general view of the practical, low-rise holiday village layout that replaced the older pre-war camp, and a scene that has now disappeared, as the site later passed into Haven ownership and was further changed over the years.
