A 1970s colour photo of a Bakerloo Line platform map at St John’s Wood station during the latter half of the 20th century. The map, displayed on a curved, tiled wall under a “Platform 2” roundel, shows the line’s route from Watford Junction down to Elephant & Castle as it appeared in 1977. Notably, the map includes the section between Baker Street and Stanmore—incorporating stations like St. John’s Wood and Wembley Central—which was part of the Bakerloo Line until it was transferred to the newly opened Jubilee Line in 1979. A colour-coded key at the bottom left indicates various interchange options, such as the “Change for Circle Line” and “Change for Victoria Line,” providing a precise historical record of the London Underground network’s configuration in the late seventies.
