This authentic 1960s colour photograph, captured in 1968, features the Aston Martin DBS making a prominent appearance at the New York Auto Show. Designed by William Towns, the DBS was intended to succeed the iconic DB6, offering a wider, more muscular stance and a sophisticated de Dion rear suspension. The display car notably retains its British registration plate, NLU 118F, and is positioned on the showroom floor of the New York Coliseum. In the background, spectators in late-sixties attire observe the latest in high-end British engineering. While the New York Coliseum has since been demolished and replaced by the Time Warner Center, this factual record preserves the introduction of the DBS to the North American market—a model that would later gain worldwide fame as a James Bond vehicle.
