This authentic 1970s colour photograph captures a creative public safety display at the Spalding Flower Parade in Lincolnshire. Taken in 1974, the image documents a floral float entered by the Lincolnshire Police, designed to promote road safety. The centerpiece of the float is a large zebra constructed from thousands of individual flower heads, standing between two floral Belisha beacons.
