This authentic 1960s colour photograph captures a classic London Transport RT-type bus (RTW 324) navigating the busy junction at Marble Arch in 1963. Operating on route 15, the bus features prominent period advertising for “Zetters Pools” along its side, a staple of British football culture in the mid-century. Other vintage advertisements on the rear of the bus include a poster for the film “Summer Magic” starring Hayley Mills and a circular red sign for “Lemon Hart Rum.” A light-coloured Austin Mini (registration 448 BYL) is visible in front of the bus. To the left, pedestrians in sixties attire walk past a shop with a red and white striped awning near the corner of Oxford Street.
