The mix of preserved sailing craft, leisure boats and adapted dock buildings captures St Katharine Docks at a particularly interesting moment, when the old commercial port had given way to a marina but before the area became the polished waterside development it is today. More than just a dock view, the image preserves a transitional phase in London’s riverside history, where maritime heritage and post-war urban change sat side by side.
