Expansion: The lower “Carpark Chairlift” was added in 1967, allowing passengers to ride from the base to the upper slopes on a single carrier through a specialized angle station.

Design Choice: Side-facing chairs were chosen to reduce the effect of high winds and to make the lift as easy to use for summer walkers as for winter skiers.
